Regardless of where you are with your software solutions for business — whether you are just searching for them, or you’ve had your print-estimating system or apparel-estimating software for years, one of the best things you can do to help be more efficient in that department is to designate a team within your company to focus on researching new trends, updates and ways to improve your current usage of your system.
Business software systems can be overwhelming for any one person to figure out, especially if they are the primary person responsible for training the staff at your company on how to use your system. If each person on your staff who comes into contact with your system isn’t using it to its fullest ability, then your company isn’t running as efficiently as it can.
We recommend designating a team of between three and five people to primarily focus on software development within your company. To begin, you may want to send them to a ShopWorx workshop, or you can have them participate in webinars or other training opportunities offered through our training center.
Once they are trained themselves and ready to go, they should focus on gathering information about how your employees currently use your software solutions for business; ways that this usage can be improved upon; and new solutions that have become available, or will become available. For your company to keep moving forward, your technology usage needs to keep improving, and a designated team will make this much easier, than if you were in charge of research and implementation yourself.
